Ryan McGee Begins His First Season as Head Coach of the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats

Coach McGee steps into his inaugural season as the head coach of the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats, bringing extensive experience from both his playing and coaching career across the globe. His background includes professional and semi-professional soccer, as well as youth coaching, making him well-equipped to guide the team.

Most recently, McGee competed professionally for Bay Olympic FC in Auckland, New Zealand during the 2023-24 season, where he also led the North Wellington FC U14 Academy team. Prior to that, he played semi-professionally with the Albion Hurricanes FC in Houston, Texas, and took an active role in their youth academy program. His international career also features time with Australia’s Olympia Warriors in the National Premier League, where he simultaneously coached the U16 squad.

Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Marymount California University in 2018. During his college years, he played for Marymount California from 2017 to 2018, helping the team reach the NAIA Final Four. Before that, he spent two seasons at Santa Barbara City College and began his collegiate soccer journey at Dakota County Technical College in 2014, where he helped secure a top 10 finish in NJCAA Division 1.

Hailing from Chanhassen, Minnesota, McGee was a key contributor to his high school’s conference championship-winning boys’ soccer team. Off the field, he enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and camping and is an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Timberwolves. He currently resides in Hopkins, MN.

Under McGee’s leadership, the Bobcats have started strong with a 12-1 record and hold the #1 spot in USCAA Division 1 rankings. With his diverse experience and dedication, Coach McGee is ready to guide Bryant & Stratton toward capturing their first national title since 2022.
