Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Baseball Program Set for First Season of Competition

Syracuse, NY- The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Athletic Department is excited to announce that our Baseball program is set for its first season of competition during the Spring of 2023. The Bobcats will compete at the Division 1 level of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) in accordance with the other programs at Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse.

The Baseball program which was announced just over 1 year ago will be lead by Head Coach, Shawn Peake who has worked tirelessly to recruit and build this program from scratch.

Peake comes to Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse with an abundance of coaching and playing experience at the collegiate level. Peake was a member of the SUNY Brockport coaching staff for 2 years and an Assistant Coach at Onondaga Community College for 3 years. Prior to his coaching, Peake was also a standout player at SUNY Brockport competing in one of the best Baseball conferences in the state, the SUNYAC.

"We are thrilled to have Shawn leading this next venture for our Athletic Department," said Director of Athletics, Nick Dimitrievski. "The desire to start and build this program has been evident in Shawn?s work ethic and we are so excited to see all of that effort translate onto the field this upcoming Spring."

On October 3rd, 2022, the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Bobcats Baseball program will have its first official practice as they begin their preparation for the Spring season.

"I am so excited to be able to get out onto a baseball field with the group of guys that we have heading into our first season," said Head Coach Shawn Peake. "We have a great group of guys coming in from all over the country and I cannot wait to work with them and build a winning culture here at Bryant & Stratton College-Syracuse."
